After defeating Serath the Hollow-Voiced, the weary heroes return to the hag Grinroot to forge a pact of living magic, trading a bloodless blade and a hero’s ashes for the secret of the Lurian hedge, then plant its chattering shoots around Baroldson Farm, sowing hope and protection that will take three patient years to bloom.

The weary adventurers escape the undead-swarmed swamp, finally returning to Baroldson’s farm, where a sacred tree and whispered legends hint at a ritual that could save the land.

The party routed Serith Hollowvoice and his corpse‑giant in Decay’s Rest, secured a potent shard of the Orbum Vitalis along with his foul insect staff, burned the rising dead, and started the grim march back toward civilization.
Session 38: We'd Like to Axe You A Question
A stealthy reconnaissance at Decay’s Rest leads to an intense battle where the party disrupts Sereth Hollow Voice’s undead ritual, facing down swarms of ghouls and reassembling corpses.
Session 37: That's No Moon
After accepting Sylgwyn’s request for a blood-free blade and the ashes of a fallen protector, the companions braved sweltering bogs, zombie skirmishes, and foul miasmas to reach Decay’s Rest, only to find the lich-like Sarith orchestrating a corpse-laden ritual beneath a shifting cloud of insects.
